Here we go again. Another police killing is in effect. A bystander captured a video of a man being shot by Miami Beach Police. The man was a bank robbery suspect. Police had received a call at 10:30am about a man holding up a Bank of America.
The man was armed with a straight razor that he got from a barbershop. Actually, when police got there he ran into a nearby barbershop and grabbed a razor. The teller from the bank told police that the man said he had a bomb on him. Det. Kathleen Prieto released a statement saying,
“Shots were fired and the subject is deceased.”
According to the man who recorded the video, the suspect would not listen to the police. The shirtless man is seen on video falling to the ground after being shot by police. Maybe its just me, but do police not use tasers anymore? They just get straight to shooting huh? If you ask me the excessive force is a little too much now. Police have protocols and are trained on what to do in certain situations. Im not sure what they are but if they consist of just shooting a person, then maybe they need to be revised.
