All the players have been waiting in line to give Kobe Bryant a hug after games as the NBA legend gears up for retirement. Well apparently a fan wanted to give Bryant a hug too and made his way onto the court.
The Los Angeles Lakers won their third game of the season, 108-104 over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.
Kobe Bryant was beginning to look like his old self, scoring a season high 31 points including two late clutch shots.
Following the game as has become customary, each of the Wizards players walked up to Bryant and waited for their chance to give him a hug. While Kobe was hugging Marcin Gortat, a fan wearing a Bryant jersey rushed up from behind Kobe and tried to give him a hug too. Security quickly rushed over and yanked the fan away.
For him it was probably totally worth it because he got extremely close to Bryant.
So what was Kobe’s response? “I thought everybody hated me,” said Bryant.
