My God, this really couldn’t have been any more awkward, the little girl’s face says it all. It’s actually so awkward that for the slightest second you almost feel bad for him but then that goes away just as fast as it came. I guess this host thought it was necessary to play into the stereotype that all African Americans drink Kool-Aid, having no beef to ask the African American host if she was sippin’ on Kool-Aid with her well cooked meal; look into the article to see this subtle racism at it’s finest, smh.
This isn’t the first L that Fox News forever be putting on themselves, but instead add this one to their outstanding track record. African American Fox News host Harris Faulkner appeared momentarily stunned during a Thanksgiving cooking segment when host Brian Kilmeade asked her if she served Kool-Aid with her meals. It was the final episode of “Fox & Friends” before the Thanksgiving holiday and Faulkner shared her recipe for making peach cobbler. This is literally the short exchange:
“Do you make Kool-Aid?” he asked.
“Uh, do I do what?” she replied.
“Make Kool-Aid,” Kilmeade repeated.
“Uh, no,” Faulkner stuttered. “I – I don’t make Kool-Aid.”
He tries to clear up his tracks real quick as he then says, “It reminds me of summer,” Kilmeade replied, getting the gang chatting once again as Faulkner pointed out that she did bring an “adult beverage.” It reminds you of summer right? Rightttt.
Look at the SMH moment Fox News takes for this one below, try your best to not hit them with the Russell Westbrook “what?” face:
