As the new found president of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music, Pusha T reveals to the world his dark, menacing, and artistically profound trailer for the short film set to go along with his next album. Check the gripping visual after the jump.
It’s no secret that Pusha has been Untouchable as of late, snagging the office of president at a major record label, his collaboration with Adidas, and his upcoming album that has fans anxious for new Pusha T music. Now he continues that roll, while releasing the trailer to accompany his new album in lieu of telling the story he’s been working vigorously on for years to tell the world.
Directed by Kid Art, the short film is set to arrive alongside Pusha’s follow up to 2013’s My Name Is My Name, on Dec. 18., and will premiere next week at the Miami Art Basel.
The film has the same title as his up-coming album Darkest Before Dawn and features singer/actor Rotimi. Teased below, King Push plays a “new King, who faces trials and tribulations on his climb to the top”.
The trailer seems dark (as do his musical tales), but when Push spoke to Billboard he stated the mini-movie “wouldn’t be a horror show but rather, a representation of his mindset while recording the project.”
