There wasn’t any NBA action yesterday on Thanksgiving but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t news to speak of. Late Wednesday night after the Milwaukee Bucks lost at home to the Sacramento Kings, there reportedly was a heated altercation in the tunnel and back in the locker room. Players from both teams were shouting at each other and it all stemmed from something involving DeMarcus Cousins and O.J. Mayo.

Cousins didn’t even play in the game but still found a way to be the story line. Mayo & Cousins could be seen making gestures towards each other at the end of the game, with Mayo pointing to the locker rooms as if he was saying to meet him there. There is still no clear reason as to what started all of this. They had an issue a few years ago during a game but have seen each other many times since.

No punches wound up being thrown but the situation was serious enough to cause police to scramble to the area before things got any more crazy.
For what it’s worth, players on both teams seemed to downplay the whole situation and said it’s just basketball but this definitely feels like something personal between the two players.
