While 30 U.S. governors have announced that they will not be resettling Syrian refugees in their states, Dallas Mayor, MikeRawlings is not one of them. The former CEO of PizzaHut has said in a recent interview that he is okay with welcoming Syrian refugees to the United States and has admitted he’s more afraid of white mass shooters. Mike Rawlings has also pointed out that blocking Syrian refugees from entering the U.S. falls into Daesh’s (Arabic acronym for ISIS) trap to prove that America is anti-Muslim. He has addressed claims that terrorists could sneak into the United States pretending to be refugee’s he has also said

“I am more fearful of large gatherings of white men that come into schools, theaters and shoot people up, but we don’t isolate young white men on this issue. I was out in the streets last night in Dallas looking at a great part of town that has had some recent robberies. Those are the things that mayors are concerned about.”

He ended by saying,

“This is a big issue, and we as a nation must step up and make sure we are secure. But we must not do things that change the soul of who we are as well. “
