Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis has not only taken New York by storm, he’s also captured the attention of the world. Everyone wants to know more about 7’3″ phenom from Latvia, so here’s a couple more facts.
On Tuesday, Porzingis joined The Michael Kay Show on ESPN Radio in New York, and revealed what he’d be listening to before the Knicks played the Magic on Wednesday.
“Future,” he said. “A little bit of Drake…but Future.”
He also joined Mike Francesa on WFAN and revealed his favorite player.
“My favorite player growing up was Kobe. The Lakers were my team and I still love him.”
Though he’s playing WAY better than anyone expected, Porzingis admits there’s still things he needs to work on.
“I’m still expecting bigger things from myself,” Porzingis told Francesa. “I’m still missing a lot of shots. I’m still turning the ball over. All of those good games that I had, I still could have done a better job. That’s my mentality all the time. I’m just trying to play as hard as I can every time I step on the floor and help the team win.”
Porzingis has just the right mixture of confidence and humility. He’s going to do great things with the Knicks.
