When Hulk Hogan was stripped of all associations with the WWE earlier because of  vile, derogatory language, dropping the N-Word with no filter on a leaked sex tape from years earlier, many felt it was a drastic but necessary move. Since then, WWE business has moved on like business as usual, and Hogan has been left to pick up his shattered reputation and legacy, but in a recent interview Triple H left the door open for a potential return.

In an interview with Greg and the Morning Buzz the Executive Vice President of the WWE addressed a multitude of things concerning family and business but could not escape the elephant in the room regarding arguably the most popular, shamed and embattled personalities in the history of professional wrestling.

“For me, I hope so. It’s about reinvigorating his brand and him as a human being and the confidence within the world as to who he is. But the one thing about people in general, when somebody is on top, they love to see him fall and when they fall, they love to see him make that comeback. They’re great stories and I think that’s where people are. Do I think he can be forgiven and make amends with the world? Yeah, absolutely. But at the same time, for us in that time frame, you’re putting up a message to the world of how you’ll tolerate things and how you’ll react to things. and we did what we needed to do, and he’ll do what he needs to do to get himself back.”

While public persona is important, Triple H believes that pales in comparison to the work the Hulk must do on a personal level.

“To Me, at the end of the day for him, how he’s perceived by the world, him as a human being, I’m sure is a lot more important to him than anything else. And re-establishing who he is as a human being I’m sure is of upmost important to him, and I’m sure he’s gonna do it, and when he does, we’ll go from there.”

How long will this rebuilding process take? No one ever really knows. The court of public opinion can be harsh, but in the same breath be forgiving. It all depends on Hogans efforts. Check out the full interview below.
