In 2013, Linwood Lambert was based over 20 times in thirty minuets by police. That night, Lambert actually died. A new video has resurfaced the web in connection to his death
Over the summer, Lambert’s sister filed a $25 Million lawsuit. She is suing for wrongful death. The families attorney, Joe Messa released a statement saying,
“There is no circumstance under any standard where anyone should be tased the number of times or the length of time that Mr. Lambert was based.”
Messa is right! This act was absolutely uncalled for. Tasers are used to help control the person being arrested but theres a line to be drawn when it counts as excessive.
Police responded to a noise complaint at a hotel where Lambert was staying. Upon arrival, they found Lambert in a delusional state of mind. He was going crazy and talking about dead bodies in his room. Clearly, this man had a problem. The three officers who responded to the call handcuffed Lambert to take him to the hospital. He becomes belligerent as he attempts to kick the window of the cop car out.
When they finally got outside of the hospital, Lambert continued to act up. While trying to run away, he banged into the emergency door glass. This is when the cops start to use their taser. The cops arrest Lambert for disorderly conduct. Lambert continuously asked the cops as they were tasing him,
“Why are you trying to kill me man. Please don’t do this to me.”
During the ride to the police station Lambert was clearly unconscious. Upon seeing this the police called the ambulance. A little while later, Lambert was pronounced dead. Lambert did tell police that he had cocaine in his system however, the amount that was found in his system was pretty low.
No one was actually charged…well atleast yet in Lamberts death.
