It looks like Bloomingdale’s is getting into the holiday spirit just a tad bit early and causing controversy while doing so.
The head of their marketing department approved an ad with a man and a woman standing next to each other with some iffy text next to them that says, “Spike your best friend’s eggnog when they’re not looking.”

Hypothetically speaking, the man and woman could just be “best friends” but the ad makes it seem like they are possibly dating. They are basically insinuating that you should serve your “friend” an immense amount of alcohol until they pass out so you can take advantage.
After the ad hit the ‘net and people started making comments about how creepy it was, the huge clothing franchise apologized for it’s suggestive ad.
“In reflection of recent feedback, the copy we used in our recent catalog was inappropriate and in poor taste. Bloomingdales’ sincerely apologizes for this error in judgment,” a brand representative said.
