Just a week ago, 9-year-old Tyshawn Lee was lured into a dark alley in the South Side of Chicago and murdered due to his father’s gang affiliation.

To help pay for his funeral expenses, a GoFundMe account was created by a family friend to assist his family during this hard time. Thus far, $17K has been raised. However his mother, Karla Lee, is catching some serious heat for using the money raised for things non-funeral related.

People have been accusing Lee of purchasing a brand new car with the money raised to assist with her son’s funeral expenses. She posted a bunch of videos cursing via her Instagram page saying how she used her own money for the car and if people aren’t supporting her, they can just leave her alone. She also added how she fears for her life and needed a reliable source of transportation.

The videos have since then been removed from her Instagram page.

One can only imagine how difficult it is to lose your child at such a young age (or any age). Hopefully Lee and her family can get through this rough time in peace!
