We still haven’t heard from the NBA regarding the altercation Matt Barnes had with Derek Fisher at the home Barnes owns with his estranged wife, Gloria Govan. We know they are looking into the events that took place that night but Barnes is wondering why they even knew about it in the first place. He basically called Fisher a snitch and not acting like a man by not just keeping the situation between those involved.

No weapons were used, no cheap shots, just an altercation between two men that involved a woman. Most people actually feel Fisher deserved a real beating for breaking the unwritten rule of dating women that were involved with friends or teammates.
Govan is still technically married to Barnes and he didn’t take kindly to Fisher spending time with her at a home that he still owns. Especially considering Barnes thought of him as an actual friend going back to their days as teammates.
The NBA got involved after Barnes claims Fisher went out of his way to snitch. “We’re 2 grown men who should have handled 2 grown men’s business, but he wanted to run and tell the cops & NBA”. He also added “The New York Post is run by the New York Knicks, so it’s obviously a way of trying to make me look like the bad guy.”
He really does have a point on this. Nobody outside of who was at the home that night needed to know about it. Fisher really was the one who wound up looking like a snake in this. Barnes did what most men would do and never needs to apologize for doing so.
