From Living Single to The Real Housewives Of Atlantal, Kim Fields has made her way back to television but it wasn’t easy! Read more to find out what made her finally decide to star on a reality TV show.

After Nene Leakes left, ‘RHOA’ had everyone wondering who would be her replacement, and it wasn’t too long after when rumors began to surface saying that Living Single actress Kim Fields would be the newest cast member of the show.

Although kim is here now she says it wasn’t easy getting her to do reality TV.

“We’ve been asked to do reality TV for years, and it just wasn’t the right timing, right opportunity,”

Feilds tells E! news and adds

“I’m very, very, very protective of my family, of my marriage, of my parenting.”

Kim says those where the main two things stopping her from doing reality TV. But now it seems as if the timing is right and Kim has decided to try the show out.

“If you’re going to look up and celebrate 40 years of doing something, at this point, for me at least, the next logical progression is what’s challenging? What’s new? What’s different?”

Kim tells E!.

The ‘RHOA’ is known for its occasional game of shady boots and a little tea here and there so now the question of whether Kim knows what she’s getting herself into has come up and for that she says..

“I don’t think it’s fair to go into any environment armed with, ‘Oh, this is already going to be this.’ Just go in with an open mind, an open heart,” she dishes. “Now, go in with wisdom so you don’t get your head knocked off as soon as you hit the door!”

The actress will be appearing on the show with her husband and two children which will be air tonight at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

Cant wait to see what Miss Fields has in store for us after all these years!
