Sean ” Puff Daddy” Combs started a “vote or die” campaign back in 2004. Also known as P. Diddy, he played a major role of influencing the young hip hop community to start voting. Four years later Diddy’s campaign was one of the forces that helped Obama get into office. Now Diddy is looking for a return on the efforts made by people of color to get Obama into the white house.

“We got people to vote. We planted the seed that got Obama in office. That’s something I’m very proud of,” Puff Daddy told Ebro In The Morning. “We got Obama into office for the give back. Where are the things in our community that have gotten drastically better?”

Diddy goes on to say that people should always stay connected to voting and politics. Even though he doesn’t have all the answers to fix the issues involving black America, he still wants to see politicians fight for those who helped get them elected.

“The hugest group of people that get you into office – you have to change their lives for the better. You got to pick a side, because they got you into office,” stated Puff. “If the side so happens to be Black people and you’re Black, you still got to do what’s fair.”

Diddy also admitted that some of Obama’s accomplishments wont be felt for many years but challenges him to send direct aid to black communities and encourages African American’s to come together and demand political and social changes, the way the National Rifle Association and the Anti Defamation League influence politicians on behalf of their supporters.
