Best known for his role as Big Al Delvecchio, the owner of Arnold’s drive-in in the sitcom ‘Happy Days’. Actor Al Molinaro has been pronounced dead at the age of 96.

The beloved actor passed away this friday at Verdugo Hills Hospital in California. According to tmz it was the actors son who confirmed the death just yesterday. Molinaro was suffering from bad gall stones problems and he reportedly avoided the surgery due to his age.
Created by Gary Marshall ‘Happy Days’ was a 1970’s sitcom set in the 1950’s in Milwaukee. The show focused on the day to day lives of a family called the Cunningham’s. The show was on the air from the year 1974 to 1984 airing a total of 255 episodes. Al Molinaro stared in a total of 146 episodes and then appeared on one of the four spin-off series ‘Joanie Loves Chachi’.
Molinaro left behind his wife Betty and son Michael.
