The songstress proudly shared the news with fans via her Instagram where she also hinted that, not only will she be taking time off to live in the moment, BUT she will return with some of her best music yet. Chrisette Michele and her future hubby sued one another a few years ago, so this is a true testament that real love conquers all!

Chrisette Michele is engaged to her long time boo and producer Doug Ellison. The pair announced the news via social media with a host of pictures and sentimental captions; Ellison even tagged her in a post of her hand rocking the beautiful diamond engagement ring calling her his “everything”.

The engagement comes after a nasty split to two had a few years ago where she sued him for embezzlement in a case that was eventually thrown out, then he sued her for $20Mill for deformation of character and loss wages. Chrisette Michele gracefully speaks on this topic in her address to her fans making it clear that that is the past and that “true love lasts.”
