When dealing with this rap/hip-hop thing, everyone has an opinion; love it, hate it, or spitting your own verses. Earl Sweatshirt is no different. After taking a peek at Drake dancing to Pompano Beach rapper, Kodak Black’s “SKRT,” the 21-year-old “Off Top” rapper questioned whether Drake was actually supporting the artist or ready to leach off an artist on the rise.

Earl took to Twitter with the opinion that Drake’s thrive to support younger artists is “always self-serving.” He adds, with the whole Drake D.R.A.M. comments in mind … it would seem … “Just like the line between paying homage and wave riding is blurry so is the one between giving criticism and hating.
Since fans (cough) and writers of all sorts are always watching, Earl decided to pull back a taste with the following:
“Rap music is bored as a collective if every time I have an opinion about something an article gets written.”
