A New York man is being accused of strangling his 76-year-old mother in a motel where they lived. The man kept the boys in the room for months and then dumped it in South Carolina! WTF is wrong with people ?
Charles R. Cole was arrested in the murder of his mother Betty Cole. Police had been investigating the disappearance of Betty Cole since October 6. There were reports from family members to the police stating they could not find her nor get in contact with her. Detectives think that Charles killed his mother on August 16, leaving her body in the motel that they lived in along with his wife, Ronalda. They believe that he left the body there for at least seven weeks.
Police believe that Cole stuffed his mothers body in a bin, put it in his car and drove it to a lodge in South Carolina. He then dumped his mothers body into a secluded area.
State police Capt. John Ryan released a statement saying,
“I find it hard to imagine circumstances that could lead to a son strangling his mother, but to also live with her body in a motel room for seven weeks and to then travel several states away to dump her body like trash makes this a particularly disturbing and unusual case.”
Charles was charged with murder and put in jail with no bail. His wife was also charged with tampering with murder and was also thrown in jail with a bail of $10,000.
The manager of the hotel stated that Charles moved out before police made a check on his mother. He also said that the hotel routinely cleans their air conditioning filters in each room and there was no signs of a dead body anywhere and he had no idea that the mother even lived with the couple.
He said,
“We went in the room at least six or seven times while they were here to check the smoke detectors.”
Who would want to do such a thing to their mother ?!
