What was going on this weekend in the Box Office?! Steve Jobs, Vin Diesel, AND Paranormal Activity did bad this weekend as the movies hit the theaters. This is kind of shocking.
The premiere of the Steve Jobs movie was this weekend and to my surprise it did not do well at all. It hit the box office at 7.3 Million dollars. This made the movie land fourth place behind a few movies that were already out in theaters for a few weeks now. Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher, which was a movie about Steve Jobs that got pretty horrible views came in at 6.7 in 2013 for the opening weekend.
The top three movies are The Martian, which just added $15.9 Million to its already received $166 Million. Then Goosebumps came in at $15.5 Million, followed by Bridge of Spies which came in at $11.4 Million.
The new Paranormal Activity movie came in at $8.2 Million which is actually the worst opening in the history of franchise. The movie cost on $10 Million to make.
New York and Los Angeles had the biggest movie averages when it came to showing the Steve Jobs movies. Other outside cities were not really liking it too tough.
Vin Diesel’s “The Last Witch Hunter,” also did horribly. The cost to make this movie was $70 Million and it only made $10.8 Million dragging it to the fourth place. Sheesh!
