The Ravens chances at a playoff season is looking very slim, as opposed to the Panthers who stand as one of five teams still undefeated this season.
The tweet was a simple, far-fetched wish from a son for his father, but it did spark a little bit of a reaction.
John Harbaugh, head coach for the Baltimore Ravens, stated,
“There is no chance of that. I wouldn’t part with him.”
Smith, known for his intense attitude and aggressive ways of handling things, said that he would end his career right now if the Ravens tried to trade him.
“If they would trade me, I would quit. I like to finish what I started.”
Smith started his NFL career as a Carolina Panther, but the pair parted ways after what seemed like some shady sh*t going on behind the scenes. Smith responded to comments made by Panther’s GM, Dave Gettleman, allegedly calling the receiver a watered down version of his former self.
Smith later explained that he felt betrayed by his former coach, as he was portrayed as a distraction.
Right now, Smith says that he and the Ravens are focused on fixing the holes in the boat before focusing on trades or retirement.
