Its October, its chilly and its officially Drakes birthday! Today we will take a second to look back on what a great year 2015 has been for Octobers very own!

Drake shocked everybody back in February when he released his fourth album ‘If You’re Reading This Its Too Late‘ with no warning and boy did it have everybody talking! Who just does that? Drops an album with no promo? No preparation? Drake did it! This album made it to the number one spot in the country , sold over a million copies and and became platinum in seven months.

Just months after dropping his surprise album Drake was involved in a little rap drama. Back in July , Meek Mill took it to Twitter to say Drake doesn’t write his own music and with accusations like that you know everyone was waiting to see what Drake would say back. Days later Drizzy dropped two diss tracks back to back, ‘back to back’ being one and the other being “Charged up” .

Drake used this situation to his advantage and kept people talking for months. This time around the topic of discussion was his love life. Entering September Drake made sure he flaunted a little eye candy on his arm, that being the phenomenal tennis champion Serena Williams! Drake was spotted at almost all of Serena’s matches.

Drake being known for surprises kept us talking throughout all of September and on September 20th Drake and Future shocked millions of fans by dropping a mixtape together called ‘ What A Time To Be Alive’ . This also made it to number 1 making this Drakes second body of work to make it to number one in the span of a year and that hasn’t been done since Jay Z did the same back in 04. You go boy!

With the release of his new music video to popular song ‘Hotline Bling‘ drake is obviously working! In this video drake showed us a different side of him, a dancing side of him and next thing you know he turned himself into a meme overnight!

Lastly, Drakes most recent success is for the ladies. Tom Ford has recently honored the champagne papi himself with his very own lipstick, inspired by him. The burgundy lipstick is apart of Ford’s ‘Lips & Boys Collection’ which is a line of lipstick honoring men who inspired Ford in his life.

Drake is on to something y’all, and he doesn’t seem like he will be slowing down anytime soon.

And i mean hey, he did say he has a really big team in need for some really big rings, makes sense!
