There are no pictures of Drake at last night’s “Big Blue Madness” because the days of seeing him on the court at the University of Kentucky, shooting around with players and interacting with people in the program are over!

Thanks to a cease & desist letter from the school, Drake has to stay away because he was part of a minor violation involving the school and recruits. He didn’t do anything wrong but it was brought to the attention of the NCAA that such a star being around the program was not a good look because it gave the wrong message, plus it would sway high school recruits big time. With all that said, it still didn’t stop him from introducing coach John Calipari at Big Blue Madness, which kicks off the basketball season.
The school and Drake got creative and since he couldn’t be there in person, he kicked things off and introduced the coach via a video screen. Wherever he was, Drake was surrounded by a room full of candles and wine and it’s a little hard to hear the audio but it sounds like they were going for the “The world’s most interesting man” approach from the beer commercial that nobody seems to drink.

Still pretty cool for the kids in the program and the audience.
