An outlandish incident occurred in a Bay Area store this week as parents, children, employees, and others, all listened as a pornography scene played throughout the sounds systems in a California Target store. A parent, Bethany Curran, captured the incendiary act as people scrambled to fix the problem, some walked out the store and others videotape the craziness.

“I thought it was just a prank at first, but it didn’t stop; it just kept going,” said Curran, a 36-year-old waitress and mother of two from Campbell. “I heard female voices making sexual noises and telling each other ‘Do this’ and ‘Do that.’ My son asked me, ‘Why are they hurting the ladies?’ And I said, ‘Don’t worry, it’s OK.'”
“People were laughing and every employee I saw immediately got their phones out and started taping the thing, saying it would be great for YouTube,” Curran said. “Why are we at this point where the first thing we think is ‘this will look good on YouTube’ instead of trying to take action to stop it? Maybe they’re just not paid enough to care.”
Gina Young, 43, mother from Campbell, California, was at the Westgate Campbell Target with her sons Weston and Wyatt on Wednesday when X-rated audio of moaning began playing on the intercom.
The audio went on for 15 minutes, witnesses say.
A Target spokeswoman Molly Snyder issued the following statement: “We are actively reviewing the situation with the team to better understand what happened and to help ensure this doesn’t happen again. Because this is an active investigation, I’m unable to share additional details, but we want our guests to know that we take this very seriously.”
According to San Luis Obispo Tribune, a similar incident occurred earlier this year at a Target in San Luis Obispo.
