According to current Knicks guard Aaron Afflalo, he used to hustle by selling donuts at the age of 13. In his piece for “The Players Tribune” he says by age 16 he graduated to selling bootleg cd’s to friends and classmates and as it turns out, one of those classmates went on to some fame of his own.

When Afflalo was busy selling those bootlegs at his high school in Compton, CA, he likely never realized how his life would turn out and how much good money he would eventually make in the NBA.
One of his classmates and customers, Kendrick Duckworth, wound up going by a different name and making enough money of his own to never need to buy bootlegs again.
This one guy from my school named Kendrick Duckworth was really into hip-hop. He asked me to burn him Jay Z’s Reasonable Doubt. That’s an all-time classic from ’96. You couldn’t just go to the store and buy all these albums, you know? It would cost too much money. But you could come to me and get it for $5.
Kendrick eventually started making his own music. He got pretty good at it, too. You’ve probably heard of him. He goes by the name Kendrick Lamar.
Small world.
