Hoverboards have taken over our social media feeds in recent months, and they show no signs of going away. The United Kingdom, however, isn’t down for this new-found obsession. Recently the Guardian reported that hoverboards are now illegal to ride on streets and roads of the UK.

According to the Crown Prosecution Service, the boards are too unsafe to ride on the road, but too dangerous to ride on the pavement. That being said, they can only be legally used on private property – with the landowner’s permission. Wonder if people are still going to try it anyway!
