It may be hard to believe but Drake has never had a Billboard No. 1 record. This fact could be changing for the better however, since his latest hit ‘Hotline Bling’ could reach No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart by next week. Billboard recently revealed that the song currently sits at the number two spot, but the highly anticipated video which is set to drop sometime next week could just push it to No. 1.
Drake took to Instagram for an emotional post about the possibility of reaching no. 1. In what reads like an early celebration, Drake says “If I get my first number one during the month of October it will be the biggest moment of my career to date (in my mind) and if you are looking for me on that particular evening I will be passed out in the water slide that connects to our pool.”

I spend my life trying to make waves for the city I am from. No accolades really matter to me other than the fact that I have never had a billboard number one.
