Today, Jay Z took the stand to testify in a Los Angeles federal courtroom about the creative juices that flowed through him when writing “Big Pimpin’.” As he opened up, Jay claims that all flow was his own, and any sampling he had done was obtained the legal way.

“We have the rights as you can see on the bottom of the CD,” he says in open court.

As the questioning continues, Jay’s own attorney asked him about artists who he had a hand in bringing to stardom; artists sucb as Rihanna, J. Cole and Kanye West.

“Some people may have heard of him,” Carter’s attorney Andrew Bart said of West.

“One or two,” Carter responded. “He’s running for president.”

Attorneys are getting deep, but one thing the rapper turned business man is hoping stays on the hush is his criminal past and his bank account numbers.
