UPDATE:
I think I-G-G-Y is getting the clue to stay away from the foolery. After she got wind of Rita Ora’s hopes of putting her on a “Lady Marmalade” remake, she was like no way.
“I have nothing to do with Rita’s ideas & agree it should be left alone,” she tweets. “Thanks.”
However, Charli is down for the cause. “Ummm I’m down,” she writes.
ORIGINAL:
No, really, could you imagine another version of “Lady Marmalade” on the market? If the answer is yes, imagine that song with Rita Ora, MILEY CYRUS, Iggy Azalea, and Charli XCX for vocals. During an interview with The Sun, Ora explained her desire to remake the track with the all of the above listed as a part of the festivities.
“It’s always been my goal to create another ‘Lady Marmalade‘”, Ora said.

“I’m trying to round up the troops – I think it would be me, Miley [Cyrus], Charli XCX – she’d be fun – and Iggy [Azalea],” Ora adds to her talk of hopes and dreams.

You know how they say that the original is always the best? Well, while I am a fan of the Labelle’s 1975 release of “Lady Marmalade,” I don’t think anything can top the 2001 version with Lil Kim, Pink, Christina Aguilera, and Mya [who could forget the ad-libs from Missy Elliot]. I mean, I just don’t see where Miley fits in that picture.
I say, Rita, let’s stick to the works of that new solo album.
