Joey Badass has never been shy about sharing his views about politics and Wednesday night wasn’t any different when he was a guest on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.
Alongside the other two guests, editor John Avlon and comedian Jessica Kirson, the rapper shared his feelings about the 2016 election. Joey Badass, (real name Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott) revealed that this will be his first time as a voter in the presidential election. He shared he’s having a hard time choosing a candidate because, “none of the candidates I really relate to. Being a young black man, I can’t really relate to Hillary Clinton, or Donald Trump.”

Although he’s having a hard time choosing a candidate, Joey Badass knows exactly what he’s looking for in a presidetinal candidate. He said, “[With] voters like myself, there’s a lot of things going on in America that are affecting us,” he told the audience to substantial applause. “I’m looking for that presidential candidate that’s going to put all my problems right at the forefront — [for example] the police brutality issue. I’m in favor of anyone who’s standing strong and firm about that issue.”
