Conspiracy theories running rampant; or nah? Ramsey Orta, the 23-year-old that recorded the death of Eric Garner, at the hands of NYPD, has filed a lawsuit that claims correctional officers – in joined forced with the NYPD – laced a meatloaf full of rat poison in order to take him out for the recording that caused a stir for the city.

What’s good for Ramsey Orta’s case? Back in April, 19 other inmates at Rikers Island claims that they too were poisoned by the meatloaf of death; all 19 got sick. Yes, the food prepared was tested, and in fact, was filled with the lethal dose of rat medicine.

What’s bad for Ramsey Orta? He didn’t ingest any of the meatloaf, which will make it hard to argue that he suffered “severe personal injuries and emotional anguish” over the incident, according to his attorney, Andrew Plasse.

Although no arrests have been made in the lacing incident, “The allegations will be reviewed,” said Nick Paolucci, spokesman for the city Law Department.

Orta says since he filmed the police brutality incident against Garner, he has been a target for the NYPD. While he is currently out of prison, Orta has been arrested on numerous occasions. The NYPD has said that all drug and guns arrests and convictions were because he committed crimes, not because he was targeted.
