The NYPD has arrested a woman for allegedly punching a 10-year-old boy in the face because she did not like his manners.

47-year-old Jathiyah Richards has been arrested after she allegedly punched 10-year-old Mohammad Almontsir in the face for his bad manners. Officials say the attack occurred in a deli on 206th St. after Richards observed a conversation between Almontsir and his father, the deli owner, when the boy did not say “thank you.”

The incident occurred on Aug. 19, Richards turned herself in after surveillance video identified her as the culprit. She is being charged with assault and child endangerment for the attack.
