Benjuiel Johnson, a 32-year old man serving a 40-year manslaughter sentence was accidentally released in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Johnson who was also charged with the illegal possession of a firearm by a felon, was accidentally release after a mix up at Dixon Correctional Institute. Allegedly, some paperwork was missing from his file and Johnson was set free just over a week ago.
Officials found and arrested Johnson at a motel in Atlanta.
According to officials, he was being released for good behavior on prior charges. When his name was run through the system, the manslaughter sentence did not appear on the record.
Luckily, he was not gone for long and was not able to harm anyone else before he was captured.
