George Tillman Jr., the writer and directer the original Soul Food, has grabbed Nathan Skulnik by the had to write the script for the Soul Food sequel, More Soul Food.

Tillman’s State Street Pictures will produce along with Tracey and Babyface Edmonds.

More Soul Fool will focus on the new generation of the Joseph family [Ahmad probably has some children of his own]. Similar to the original, the family is boosted into some turbulence and find themselves separating without the eldest family members telling them how to stick together; you know, those special Sunday dinners and church sessions.

Although I am willing to give it a chance, I don’t think that this is one of those films that can be remade. It definitely will not have the same affect as the 1997 version.
