Earlier this year up and coming Chicago rapper, Lil Bibby stopped by Sway in the Morning where he revealed he was a high school drop out with only one credit left to earn. He shared with Sway, the lack of emphasis on education in Chicago and said the lack of hope in neighborhoods is the reason why Chi-town kids don’t stay in school. Before he left the show that day, he made a promise to Sway that he would earn his GED.
In March, Lil Bibby revealed via Instagram that he did go ahead and earn his GED and not only earn it but achieve straight As. Fast forward six months later, Wednesday the young rapper revealed that he went back to school and earned his diploma. The 19 year-old dedicated his achievement to Sway, his mother and grandmother. He also announced he’ll be attending college next.
