An Indiana couple, on their way to the hospital to give birth to their child, claim that the cops unlawfully pulled them over and then pointed a gun at the pregnant woman’s belly while arresting the father-to-be.

This footage has just been released but the incident occurred in January 2012 when a police cruiser turned on its siren and lights to signal the car to pull over. It’s noted James Reiner instead called 911 to alert the police vehicle that his wife was on their way to give birth and continued driving for another mile before pulling over at the persistence of the police cruiser.
As soon as he opened the car door to alert police what was transpiring, Hebron officer Anthony Dandurand can he heard in the video yelling at him to show his hands. “I will shoot you, you piece of shit! Get on the ground!”
Dana Reiner tried showing officers that her water broke and needed to get to the hospital but officers weren’t showing sympathy to the couple.
Fortunately later, an ambulance arrived to the scene and transported her to the hospital to give birth. But, matters could have been dire for the couple. “Her doctor paused the delivery twice to turn Abigail and unwrap her umbilical cord from around her neck. Dana Reiner said the doctor told her that her baby would have died had she given birth on the side of the road.” notes a local publication.
Even though charges were never filed, Reiner was jailed for “resisting law enforcement,” and he missed the birth of his child.
The family has filed a lawsuit against the city and police officers.
