Jason Pierre-Paul is determined to prove he can still be productive on the field. The New York Giants dismissed him and sent him back home after viewing his disfigured hand. A Fourth of July fireworks accident caused JPP to completely lose his index finger and pieces of his thumb and middle finger. He still maintains that he can play and has been uploading videos on his Instagram account showing the work he’s putting in. He recently uploaded a video running sprints with a sled of 270 pound weights attached to him. This time he posted a video bench pressing.
In the video, JPP is seen benching, with a towel to aid his mangled right hand, putting up 235 pounds with a spotter.
Giants are going to need to see much more than that before offering another contract.
