It’s been a very successful year for the Chicago rapper Vic Mensa. After dropping an amazing debut mixtape Innanetape, Vic Mensa followed it up with a collection of tracks and freestyles, but no more important than the hit “U Mad” featuring Chicago’s icon Kanye West. See Vic return to his old stomping grounds in a new documentary.
Vince Mensa and his SAVEMONEY crew take a trip down memory lane while going through the streets of Chicago. Vic’s friends tell stories about growing up with the rapper, and how Vic got himself into the position he’s at. As Mensa’s main producer and childhood friend Stefan Ponce recalls, “He really did what he always knew he was going to do. Like, damn, this guy is really about to change his life.”
Watch the documentary below.
After watching this I can see that Vic Mensa is a down to Earth guy, and I hope he can keep climbing the hip-hop ladder to the top. With signing to RocNation, Mr. Carter must feel the same way.
In cased if you missed it, listen to Vic Mensa’s latest track All that Shines.
