Los Angeles Lakers star, Kobe Bryant or “The Black Mamba” has been cleared to participate in all team activities after sitting out for nine months due to a torn rotator cuff.
Bryant suffered the injury after a slam-dunk against the New Orlean Pelicans. Just in time for the new season, he is finally cleared to to join his team and run the court once again. Bryant also suffered injuries in the two consecutive seasons prior to the latest.
The thirty-seven year old guard, is one of the oldest players in the league and is entering his final year in the contract with the Lakers. Bryant’s last season, was not his best as he struggled to find his shot and was labeled as “wildly inconsistent.”
Entering his 20th season, it is reported that Kobe will decide if he will retire after this final contract year.
With word of his probable return for the season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Lakers fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement. Anyone watching the Lakers this year will be definitely be expecting an impressive performance.
