What’s the best way to make sure Lifetime doesn’t screw up your biopic? The answer is to executive produce it and star in it. That’s exactly what 90s R&B legend is doing for her memoir that just got the green light from Lifetime. The TV movie will be perfectly titled Un-Break My Heart.

The film is based on Toni Braxton’s 2014 memoir also titled Un-Break My Heart. It will take viewers and fans through Braxton’s life story including her battle with lupus, financial troubles, and divorce along with raising a son with autism.
Toni Braxton will play herself in the film as well as executive produce it along with Vondie Curtis Hall. The film is set to go into production later this year. This will be the third biopic released by Lifetime in recent years. Back in November,the network aired the unauthorized Aaliyah biopic, Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, followed by the Whitney Houston film Whitney.
