Have you heard the name Mick Jenkins yet? Well, in the latest ‘Everything You Need To Know’ sit down with the The FADER, we learn more about the 24-year-old from Chicago. Jenkins reveals that he has no love for the groupies of the world – specifically the ones in Montreal – he doesn’t use album skits anymore, and he prefers Juke music over House music.

“Juke music came heavy for me in elementary school. I’m talkin’ third, fourth, fifth grade,” he says. “It’s a decent tempo; something memorable for you to recite.”

Jenkins also fills us in on his eating habits. It’s not often you come across a Chicago rapper who doesn’t eat meat. Because he’s vegetarian, he can only tell you that a Chicago-styled hot dog is “done up.”
