The NFL is back and so is the controversy surrounding the Patriots. New England defeated the Steelers 28-21 last night in a game where Tom Brady looked like a Super Bowl MVP but according to Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin, there may have been other reasons that helped the Pats win.

Tomlin is a man’s man. He doesn’t make excuses or bitch and moan about how things happen. He just takes them in stride and moves on, so it was interesting to hear him basically say the Pats have been doing things with his headset and communication with his coaches every time he goes there.
Instead of talking with his coaches and quarterback through his headset, Tomlin said he was forced to listen to the Patriots radio announcer call the game. He also said “that’s always the case here” when asked about what happened.
Pats coach Bill Belechick also claimed his headset was acting up last night and possibly the weather had something to do with it but still, the fact Tomlin said it happens all the time is something to consider.
For what it’s worth, he seemed to be immediately annoyed with himself that he made the comment because he didn’t want to keep engaging reporters in the discussion. With all the cheating rumors surrounding the Pats, of course this will draw attention.
