Jay Z made an attempt to dismiss all things leading up to the illegal sampling trial of “Big Pimpin’” – like depositions – but he could not stop the trial itself; it took eight years, but it doing down and the Brooklyn emcee doesn’t want the jury to review anything in connection to his criminal past, or his bank account.

According to TMZ, Jay filed documents with the hopes that the jury keeps the eyes on the facts of the case; and that doesn’t include any monies or his past indiscretions. The plaintiff’s comeback is that Jay stole the music, therefore, making his criminal history a big part of the case.
Jay is accused of stealing the music to Osama Ahmed Fahmy father’s “Khosara, Khosara” for the “Big Pimpin’” track.
