James Bond author Anthony Horowitz has caused quite an outrage after he made serval comments on why he believes Idris Elba would not be a suitable actor to play James Bond in the latest 007 film. In the words of the author who’s first Bond novel, Trigger Mortis will be published this month Elba, is “too street” for the role.

In an interview with Daily Mail Horowitz said:
“Idris Elba is a terrific actor, but I can think of other black actors who would do it better” adding”For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a colour issue. I think he is probably a bit too “street” for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah.”
Horowitz’s comments have subjected him to tons of backlash from fans slamming him for his comments about Elba, many calling him racist. Do you believe Idris Elba is “too street” play Bond?
