In case you missed it, Nicki Minaj pulled a page out of the Kanye West ‘forget a script’ book. While “The Night Is Still Young” female rapper was able make amends with Taylor Swift, she felt the need to call out Miley Cyrus on comments she made against Nick to the New York Times. We were so sure that it was another stunt for ratings, however, MTV is claiming otherwise.

An MTV press spokesman confirmed to MTV News that Nick’s outburst was not planned at all. She really wanted Miley to answer the now famous question, “WHAT’S GOOD?” Other reporters backstage and outside the dressing rooms say that the heated exchange between the two was felt in the air.
