Jerseyyyyyyyyy! Yesterday, Paterson native Fetty Wap put on a free back-to-school concert for his hometown. The concert was the rising star’s way of giving back to his hometown and the first time he’s preformed there since becoming such a huge artist. Following the concert, Fetty was given the key to the city by Paterson Mayor, Jose Torres.

Fetty Wap’s back-to-school concert drew a crowd of over 1,000 students. The show began around 3PM with warm up performances by young artists, including two teenagers, who have preformed with Fetty Wap before. At the end of the concert, surprise guest French Montana also hit the stage. The show began around 3PM and ended at 7:30PM.

When Fetty took the stage he told the crowd, “I got a confession to make, I performed with over 60,000 people. I’ve performed all over the United States, but this is the first time I was nervous. … You all are a tough crowd to please.” Proud Paterson native, he said later on, “Every stage I go, I always tell them, I’m from Paterson,” the crowd went wild.
