This is so sad! Earlier this month a Michigan man was arrested after attempting to rob a credit union to pay for his young daughters chemo treatments. Read more below.
According to the reports, 23 year-old Brian Randolph showed up at Vibe Credit Union and handed the teller a note stating he had a gun and demanded money. However, it turned out later that Randolph did not have a gun.
Randolph’s 1 year old daughter Brailynn has retinoblastoma. This cancer forms in the eye and requires treatment once every four weeks which is extremely expensive, totaling up to thousands of dollars. When Randolph’s insurance would no longer pay for the treatment, in a desperate attempt to help his daughter he attempted to rob the bank.
Randolph has been charged with armed robbery and his bond has been set at $500,000.
