How dope is this? After over 25 years, N.W.A.’s debut album Straight Outta Compton is back in the top 10 on the Billboard 200, thanks to the success of their biopic of the same name. The album comes in at number 4, having moved 44k units since last week. Dr. Dre’s new Compton album also had a good week, coming in at number 3 with an additional 51k units sold since its debut last week. Cube and Eazy-E also re-appear, with Cube at 99 for 1991’s Death Certificate (6k units), his greatest hits compilation appears at #118 and his solo debut, Amerikkka’s Most Wanted, at 150, while Eazy‘s 2002 posthumous compilation Eazy-Duz-It/5150 4 Tha Sick lands at 33 with 12k sold.
Also on the charts is the late Chinx, who makes his Billboard 200 debut with his debut album Welcome To JFK. The project comes in at number 21 with a strong 17k units sold! I wish he was here to see that!
