One of the biggest crisis happening within a company right now comes out of the ‘Eat Fresh’ sandwich franchise, Subway. Early July, the home of Jared Fogle was raided by the FBI after they a received a tip on possible child abuse, but the tip was for Russell Taylor, the executive director of Fogle’s Jared Foundation.
Months later, we find out that Taylor wasn’t the only guilty party, but in fact, Fogle was too. The 37-year-old has plead guilty to child-pornography charges as well as having paid for sex with minors. For that, he’s looking at five years in prison – yeah, only five. However, that’s not the only bad business Fogle has engaged in. Seems as though The Jared Foundation was created to line the pockets of its executives instead of granting other organizations.

Since its early recognition in 2008, The Jared Foundation, a non-profit that promotes healthy eating for children, was suppose to had given away $2 million to different schools and communities, but not one red penny was distributed.
From 2009 through 2013, the foundation spent just $73,000 a year on average. Sixty percent of the money went to the executive director’s salary, and 26 percent is unaccounted for, according to foundation tax records.
The foundation also hasn’t paid the State of Indiana a $5 annual registration fee since 2008, the year the Jared Fogle Healthy Lifestyle Nationwide School Grant Program was supposed to begin. Delinquency notices were ignored. In 2012, the Indiana Secretary of State dissolved the foundation, though the IRS still recognizes it.
I smell a fraud case coming on. Tsk Tsk. Should have stayed a fat man.
