A Gunman has shot and killed a security guard before turning the gun on himself outside of a federal building in Lower Manhattan just yesterday. The Gunman has been identified to be a 68 year old man by the name of Kevin Downing from Fort Lee, NJ.

The Man that was killed was a 53 year old father by the name of Idrissa Camara. The retired U.S Army reserves captain outraged that he was fired by the department of labor statistics for supposedly blowing the whistle on what he called “disclosing inexcusable public waste.” After shooting Camara the 68 year old man killed himself. Camara had lost his father just three months before his sudden death which led to his four kids loosing a father as well.

Apparently Idrissa Camara was armed security but didn’t have the chance to defend himself.

Law enforcement sources said:

“It looks like he would shoot whoever was standing there,” the source said. “Somebody had just gone through the checkpoint and was gathering his stuff. The guard turns to greet (Downing) and he shoots. There doesn’t appear to be any interaction between the two.”
