FX has given the okay on the John Singleton pilot drama, Snowfall. Singleton has called on the beautiful ladies, Lauren London and Jill Scott to star in the drama.

Snowfall will depict the 1980s beginnings of the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles. The pilot focuses on the story from three different character’s perspectives on a “violent collision course.”

According to THR:

Scott is set to play Sharon “Cissy” Saint, the no-nonsense mother of Franklin (Damson Idris). Frustrated in both her personal and professional lives, Cissy has sacrificed her dreams to give Franklin opportunities she never had.

 London, meanwhile, will play Louise Saint, Franklin’s party-girl aunt.
